SENIOR AI ENGINEER
Location: Amsterdam North (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months

Our client, a large retailer is requires a Lead / Senior AI Engineer to join the team in Amsterdam North. In this role you will Lead the technical delivery of scalable, production-ready AI systems. Design reusable AI services, optimise RAG pipelines, build Agentic workflows, and mentor engineers.

Key responsibilities
- Design enterprise AI services & platform components
- Build RAG pipelines & Agentic AI workflows
- Integrate AI into apps via scalable APIs/microservices
- Improve performance, reliability & security
- Code reviews & mentoring

Requirements
- 6–10 yrs software engineering
- 2–5 yrs production AI
- Expert Python, Advanced SQL, Java/Kotlin
- LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, LangChain, Prompt Engineering
- Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
- PostgreSQL, pgvector, vector search

Nice to have: Azure AI Foundry, OpenTelemetry, MCP, AI Guardrails
