Service Operations Practitioner – Asset Management - 12 months+ - London or Cardiff

We are looking for a Service Operations Practitioner focused on Asset Management to join a global Data Center company on a 12 month extendable contract. You will support the governance, control, and optimisation of IT and data centre assets across EMEA. Ensuring assets are accurately recorded, tracked, and managed, supporting lifecycle control from procurement through to decommissioning.

This role requires 3 days on site in London or Cardiff and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain asset records within ServiceNow
• Ensure accuracy of asset data, including ownership, location, status, and lifecycle stage
• Track asset movements, audits, and reconciliations across sites
• Support asset lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement)
• Collaborate with site teams and central functions to ensure effective asset control
• Produce asset metrics, reporting, and audit evidence
• Provide first-line support for asset-related ServiceNow workflows
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Asset Management processes and controls

Requirements

• 1–3 years’ experience in Asset Management, ITSM, Service Operations, or similar
• Working knowledge of ITIL Asset Management / IT Asset Management principles (certification desirable)
• Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management or CMDB modules
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
