Hi, 

Our client a global consultancy company services is looking for their client in the finance/bank industry for a Senior Java Backend Engineer with a strong expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.

2. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.

3. Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

5. Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and reliability of applications.

6. Implement best practices in CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.

7. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

8. Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot preferred).

2. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.

3. Deep understanding of PostgreSQL including query optimization and schema design.

4. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

5. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Helm, GitOps, etc.).

6. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

7. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience or knowledge in Wealth Management (WM) systems.

2. Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.

3. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Contract : Freelance
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months + extension
Conditions: 2 days on site (Mandatory), 3 days working from home
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Rate: Depending on experience
Interview process : 2 stages
