SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect 

Contract: 12-Month Contract
Location: Initially Remote, with relocation to the Middle East required during the programme lifecycle
Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect / Workstream Lead to join a large-scale transformation programme for a major enterprise organisation in the Middle East. This role will initially be delivered remotely, before transitioning onsite in the region as the project progresses.

The successful candidate will lead the Finance workstream across the full SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, providing both strategic architecture leadership and hands-on delivery expertise. You will work closely with senior business stakeholders, SI partners, and technical teams to design and implement best-practice SAP Finance solutions aligned to global standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP S/4HANA Finance workstream across design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare phases
• Act as the Finance Solution Architect for the programme, owning end-to-end solution design
• Drive business process workshops and translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions
• Provide leadership across core Finance modules including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Cost Centre Accounting (CCA)
  • Profit Centre Accounting (PCA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Tax and statutory reporting
• Lead fit-to-standard workshops and champion SAP best practices
• Manage integration points with other workstreams including Procurement, Supply Chain, Projects, HR, and Reporting
• Support data migration, testing strategy, cutover planning, and deployment activities
• Work closely with programme leadership and executive stakeholders across both IT and Finance functions
• Provide governance over functional design documentation and solution quality
• Mentor and guide functional consultants within the Finance stream
• Support risk management, issue resolution, and delivery planning

Required Experience

• Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect or Finance Workstream Lead
• Extensive end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
• Strong expertise across SAP Finance and Controlling modules
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes in complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of S/4HANA Finance architecture and integration capabilities
• Experience with:
  • Central Finance
  • Group Reporting
  • Fiori
  • Embedded Analytics
  • RAR / FSCM / Treasury (desirable)
• Ability to engage confidently with senior Finance stakeholders and C-level leadership
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with global system integrators and offshore delivery teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
