SAP Integration Architect – S/4HANA RISE Programme

6-Month Initial Contract | Outside IR35 | 99% Remote | Immediate Start

Next Ventures is exclusively supporting a leading grocery retailer as they embark on a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The organisation is currently in the discovery phase of a large-scale 3–5 year S/4HANA RISE programme, and we are looking for an experienced SAP Integration Architect to join the programme from the outset.

This is an excellent opportunity to help define the integration strategy for a long-term enterprise transformation, with strong extension potential beyond the initial 6-month contract.

Role Overview

As the SAP Integration Architect, you will be responsible for defining and governing the integration architecture across the S/4HANA RISE landscape. Working closely with business stakeholders, SI partners and programme leadership, you will design a scalable, secure and future-proof integration strategy that enables seamless connectivity between SAP and non-SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end integration architecture for the S/4HANA transformation programme.

• Lead the integration workstream throughout the discovery and planning phases.

• Design scalable, secure and resilient integration solutions across SAP and third-party platforms.

• Define integration standards, patterns and best practices for the programme.

• Work closely with functional architects, technical architects, development teams and delivery partners.

• Provide architectural guidance across APIs, middleware, event-driven integrations and cloud connectivity.

• Identify integration risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.

• Support technical governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and SAP best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an SAP Integration Architect on enterprise-scale SAP transformation programmes.

• Strong experience delivering integrations for SAP S/4HANA implementations.

• Previous experience with RISE with SAP is highly desirable.

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP BTP and modern API-led integration architectures is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of SAP and non-SAP integration technologies, middleware and cloud integration patterns.

• Demonstrable experience within the grocery retail sector is essential.

• Experience working through discovery, assessment and programme mobilisation phases.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Fluent English.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: Initial 6 months

• Extensions: Strong likelihood of extension throughout a 3–5 year programme

• Location: 99% Remote

• Start Date: Immediate

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35

• Rate: Open and dependent on experience
