The opportunity

An established international technology and transformation consultancy is looking for an experienced SAP German Payroll Consultant to strengthen its growing SAP HR practice.

You will support well-known organisations with the implementation, optimisation and ongoing operation of SAP German Payroll solutions. The position combines hands-on SAP configuration, technical problem-solving and customer-facing consulting.

The company offers remote working within Germany, flexible working hours and opportunities to participate in both national and international transformation projects.

Your responsibilities

• Configure, support and optimise SAP German Payroll solutions
• Participate in SAP Payroll implementation and transformation projects
• Analyse and resolve Payroll incidents, errors and support tickets
• Configure and maintain wage types, schemas, PCRs and Payroll-related tables
• Support German legal changes, statutory requirements and Payroll reporting
• Advise customers on technical requirements and Payroll processes
• Collaborate with local and international project teams
• Support interfaces between SAP Payroll and connected HR, finance and third-party systems
• Contribute to process improvements, documentation and Payroll best practices
• Support the transition towards modern SAP HR and Payroll technologies

Your background

• At least three years of SAP German Payroll experience
• Hands-on experience with SAP HCM On-Premise
• Practical experience within one or more of the following areas:
  • SAP Payroll implementation projects
  • Application management or production support
  • Incident and ticket resolution
  • Payroll enhancements and maintenance
  • Payroll transformation projects
• Experience configuring German Payroll wage types, schemas or PCRs
• Ability to analyse Payroll logs and resolve functional or technical issues
• Understanding of German Payroll legislation and statutory reporting
• Fluent German and good English, both written and spoken
• Confident communicating with customers and business stakeholders
• Structured, responsible and quality-focused working style
• Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues
• Flexibility to work within different customer and project environments
• Willingness to travel occasionally when required
