Python Web Application Developer

Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled Python Web Application Developer to support the development of a modern web application built on top of aggregated enterprise data.

The application will integrate with enterprise data platforms and may also incorporate Power BI dashboards and reporting capabilities, depending on final project requirements and technical feasibility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing Python-based web applications, building APIs, integrating with cloud data platforms, and supporting enterprise application deployments.

This role will work closely with IT infrastructure, data, and business teams to develop, deploy, and support scalable enterprise applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and backend services using Python-based frameworks.
• Build and support APIs and data connectivity workflows between web applications, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
• Integrate applications with cloud data platforms, including Databricks or comparable enterprise analytics and data warehouse technologies.
• Support integration with Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions where applicable.
• Assist with the deployment and operationalization of enterprise web applications in collaboration with IT and infrastructure teams.
• Support application configuration, environment setup, testing, and release management processes.
• Troubleshoot application deployment, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, data, and business stakeholders to gather technical requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in application documentation, system monitoring, and ongoing production support activities.
• Follow application security, authentication, and access management best practices.
• Support GIS-related functionality and spatial data requirements if introduced as the project evolves.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong professional experience developing Python-based web applications.
• Hands-on experience with modern Python web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Experience building and supporting web applications, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of cloud-hosted applications and enterprise data connectivity patterns.
• Experience integrating applications with Databricks or similar enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise authentication, authorization, and access management concepts.
• Experience with enterprise application deployment, configuration, and environment management.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with IT infrastructure, data, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating with Databricks, including authentication and connectivity methods.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise deployment processes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Experience integrating applications with Power BI dashboards or other enterprise reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with GIS functionality, spatial data, or geospatial application development.
• Experience supporting applications through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production operations.
