Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a Technical SAP MDG consultant for a role in Sweden.

Start date is immediate ,

Hybrid & some on site and remote working is acceptable.
8 months contract + potential extension 
Applicants must be EU or UK passport holders or hold a relevant work permit for Sweden.

As a SAP MDG Technical Consultant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by helping customers define and implement master data governance solutions. You will be responsible for architecting and customizing SAP MDG solutions, ensuring data quality, and developing ABAP programs. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting key business areas such as Finance, Materials, Business Partners, Customers, and Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP MDG Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for different domains such as Finance, Materials, Business Partners, Customer, and Supplier.
  • Customize and enhance SAP MDG to meet business requirements.
  • Architect and configure solutions to manage and govern master data across various domains.

• ABAP Development and Maintenance:

  • Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements related to SAP MDG.
  • Build custom solutions for data processing, integration, and reporting within SAP MDG.

• Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand the business requirements.
  • Deliver technical solutions that meet customer needs and improve master data management processes.

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide ongoing support for SAP MDG and ABAP-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to MDG applications and integration points.

• Best Practices and Standards Adherence:

  • Ensure that all SAP MDG developments follow industry best practices and SAP development standards.
  • Apply SAP’s recommended approaches for data governance and master data management.

• Technical Documentation:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for SAP MDG developments, configurations, and customizations.
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to other team members and end-users.

• MDG Mass Processing and Data Quality Management:

  • Lead the implementation of SAP MDG mass processing, consolidation, and data quality management techniques.
  • Help improve master data governance and maintain data integrity across various business domains.

• Integration and Hybrid Landscapes:

  • Integrate SAP MDG with other systems (SAP and non-SAP) and ensure smooth data flow between systems.
  • Work on implementing SAP MDG solutions in hybrid landscapes (cloud and on-premise).

• Cloud Solutions:

  • Leverage knowledge of MDG Cloud Edition and MDG Cloud-Ready Mode to implement solutions in hybrid or fully cloud environments.
  • Implement Master Data Integration (MDI) and support the One Domain Model approach.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP MDG Technical Consultant.
  • Minimum of 3 full-cycle SAP MDG implementations (from design to go-live).

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency in SAP MDG configuration and development.
  • Extensive experience in ABAP programming, including report generation, interface development, and system enhancements.
  • Expertise in MDG mass processing, data quality management, and central governance.
  • In-depth experience with SAP MDG in key domains such as Finance, Material, Business Partners, Customer, and Supplier.

• SAP MDG Integration:

  • Proven experience integrating SAP MDG with other systems and stakeholders.
  • Experience in hybrid landscapes and integration of SAP MDG with cloud and on-premise systems.

• Knowledge of SAP MDG Cloud Solutions:

  • Familiarity with MDG Cloud Edition, MDG Cloud-Ready Mode, and Master Data Integration (MDI).
  • Understanding of One Domain Model in SAP MDG solutions.

• Implementation Skills:

  • Deep understanding of SAP MDG’s role in ensuring master data integrity, quality, and governance.
  • Ability to guide customers in implementing best practices for data governance within SAP MDG.

Desirable Skills:

• Leadership and Project Management:

  • Ability to lead technical aspects of SAP MDG projects and guide junior team members.
  • Experience in hybrid landscape architecture and data migration strategies.

• Certifications:

  • SAP certification in Master Data Governance (MDG) is a plus.

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
