Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a SAP IS OIL specialist for a support role in an ECC6 environment.

This is a Part time allocation to begin with 50-60 %

Denmark , Jutland

Duration 12 months
Hybrid working -Remote with an occasional site visit.
*Must hold relevant work permit for Denmark or be an EU/ UK passport holder.
English speaking role (Danish would be advantageous).

Should have knowledge of  both Logistic and Finance areas of IS OIL 
 
Client is planning  ECC6-S4 Hanna migration in the future....no decision made currently.

As an SAP IS-Oil Support Consultant for ECC6, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of SAP IS-Oil solutions within the SAP ECC6 environment. This includes providing expertise in the oil and gas industry-specific processes, configuration, and support of SAP IS-Oil modules. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting issues, managing system enhancements, and working closely with business users to optimize the SAP system for improved business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and Maintenance of SAP IS-Oil Solutions:

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP IS-Oil modules, including upstream, midstream, and downstream business processes.
  • Resolve issues related to SAP IS-Oil functionality and ensure the smooth operation of business-critical processes in SAP ECC6.

• Configuration and Optimization:

  • Configure and fine-tune SAP IS-Oil modules according to business requirements.
  • Focus on the core functionalities of SAP IS-Oil, such as oil and gas exploration, production, transportation, refining, trading, and distribution.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify areas for system improvement and implement changes or enhancements as needed.

• Business Process Analysis and Improvement:

  • Analyze business processes within the oil and gas sector and provide recommendations for optimizing SAP IS-Oil solutions to support these processes.
  • Ensure that SAP IS-Oil functionality aligns with business needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Integration with Other SAP Modules:

  • Work on the integration of SAP IS-Oil with other SAP modules, such as SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting/Controlling), and SAP PS (Project Systems).
  • Ensure that the IS-Oil solutions are seamlessly integrated with SAP ECC6 and that the data flows correctly between modules for smooth operations.

• Incident and Problem Management:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for issue resolution related to SAP IS-Oil.
  • Work with the technical team to resolve system errors, bugs, and issues impacting business operations.
  • Provide timely responses to user incidents, ensuring the issues are resolved within the agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).

• Customization and Enhancement:

  • Customize and enhance SAP IS-Oil solutions to meet the evolving business needs of the organization.
  • Implement enhancements that improve functionality, reporting, and automation within the SAP system.

• User Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users regarding SAP IS-Oil functionality and best practices.
  • Ensure users are properly equipped to use the system effectively and troubleshoot any user-specific issues.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation for SAP IS-Oil configuration and customizations.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Support documentation for system updates, patching, and maintenance activities.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure SAP IS-Oil solutions meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with the SAP BASIS and security teams to ensure proper system configuration and data security.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that SAP IS-Oil solutions comply with industry regulations, tax requirements, and reporting standards specific to the oil and gas industry.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations that impact the SAP system.

Experience:

• • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with SAP IS-Oil (ECC6), including configuration and support of the oil and gas industry-specific functionality.
  • Proven experience in supporting and maintaining SAP IS-Oil solutions in a live environment.
  • Experience in upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas business processes and how they relate to SAP IS-Oil.

• SAP IS-Oil Modules Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of key SAP IS-Oil modules and components, such as Production Planning for Oil & Gas (PP-PI), Material Management for Oil & Gas (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), Costing (CO), and Project Systems (PS).
  • Experience with Logistics (SD/MM) integration with SAP IS-Oil modules.

• Business Process Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry and its processes, including exploration, production, transportation, refining, and distribution.
  • Knowledge of trading and risk management in SAP IS-Oil is a plus.

• Integration Experience:

  • Experience with the integration of SAP IS-Oil with other SAP modules such as SAP FI/CO, SAP MM, and SAP SD.
  • Understanding of how SAP IS-Oil interacts with external systems, including third-party logistics or reporting tools.

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address user incidents and system issues.

• Communication and Collaboration:

  • Strong communication skills, able to work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, business, and management teams.
  • Ability to train and support end-users effectively, as well as prepare detailed technical documentation.

Desirable Skills:

• SAP Certification:

  • Certification in SAP IS-Oil or related SAP modules is highly desirable.

• Project Experience:

  • Experience in SAP IS-Oil implementation projects or significant support engagements, especially in an ECC6 environment.

• Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and reporting requirements in the oil and gas sector.

• SAP Fiori/Cloud Experience:

  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications or SAP S/4HANA can be a plus, especially for new cloud or mobile initiatives
